The dream synthesizer did not seem to exist: a wavetable synthesizer with a truly high-quality sound, visual and creative workflow-oriented interface to make creating and altering sounds fun instead of tedious, and the ability to “go deep” when desired – to create / import / edit / morph wavetables, and manipulate these on playback in real-time.

Serum has a Wavetable editor built right in- you can create your own wavetables in a variety of ways. Import audio directly from audio files – Serum has a variety of methods and options for analyzing audio for breaking it apart into individual waveforms. You can import single-cycle wavetables of course, as well as many at once (with in-built sorting options, or manual re-ordering). Morph between various wavetables using standard linear interpolation (crossfading) or via harmonic/spectral morphing. Draw directly on the waveform, with optional grid-size snapping and a variety of shape tools. Generate or modify waveforms using FFT (additive). Create or process waveforms using formula functions. Processing menu options allow you to do the other tasks you would want, such as apply fades, crossfades, normalize, export, and much more.

What is corona virus. ??

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness in animals or humans.  In humans, several coronaviruses are known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The most recently discovered coronavirus causes coronavirus disease COVID-19.

Corona virus update

To prevent infection and to slow transmission of COVID-19, do the following:

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, or clean them with alcohol-based hand rub.
  • Maintain at least 1 metre distance between you and people coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
  • Stay home if you feel unwell.
  • Refrain from smoking and other activities that weaken the lungs.
  • Practice physical distancing by avoiding unnecessary travel and staying away from large groups of people.

The virus can lead to pneumonia, respiratory failure, septic shock, and death. Many COVID-19 complications may be caused by a condition known as cytokine release syndrome or a cytokine storm. This is when an infection triggers your immune system to flood your bloodstream with inflammatory proteins called cytokines. They can kill tissue and damage your organs.

If you notice the following severe symptoms in yourself or a loved one, get medical help right away:

How to become a DJ?

The eligibility criteria is quite straightforward – You need to know music, have a passion for it, and understand the technical aspects & intricacies of rhythms. While a graduate’s degree may be a minimum requirement at some places, mostly its your experience of music that counts. Since a deejay is more a music artist, it’s his personal traits that matter more than anything else. These are the DJs who have chosen this profession based on their in-born talent and flair for music. Most of them are from a background where they have acquired a liking for this profession during their earlier days at school or college. Then there are some who have learnt the ropes practically by working as interns in FM Radio channels.
A degree in Communications or Journalism is an added advantage

Institutes offering DJ courses

For becoming a Disc Jockey, currently there are no colleges or universities that offer full-time programmes or courses with a defined syllabus or course curriculum in DJ training or development. However, there are many private institutes and training centers that have sprung up across India mainly in Mumbai, Delhi (NCR), Jaipur, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata that offer short duration courses in DJ development and other related skills such as:

  • Pro DJ
  • DJ Training and Development course
  • Digital Live DJ’ing course
  • Audio Engineering course

Most of these institutes have been set up by DJs themselves:

  • I Love Music Academy, Gurgaon – courses such as “Pro DJ” (3 months, part time), “DJ Producer” (9 months, part time)
  • Skratchlab DJ Academy, Chennai – developed by DJ Kave, twice D.M.C World DJ championship Indian representative, Official DJ for A R Rahman, Blaaze & Hardkaur

  • Global DJ Music Production & DJ Training Academy, Mumbai

Course Fees

The fees charged by institutes vary widely. Also, in certain cases training is provided by DJ’s on a one-to-one basis and in these cases it is totally subjective and fee structure might be customized based upon the training needs of the applicant. There are extra charges for additional practice time in the DJ studio.
